Reggio Emilia Aotearoa Regional Taranaki

REART was founded by a group of educators working within early learning services within Taranaki.

As educators we want to further our understanding and knowledge of the Reggio Emilia philosophy and to inspire ourselves and others to view children as infinitely capable, strong, rich and powerful members of our communities.

Our vision is that this group will provide open dialogue with others on how to integrate ideas from Reggio Emilia within our everyday practice here in Aotearoa and our own unique cultural contexts.

With the establishment of a collaborative network of teachers who are interested in the Reggio Emilia pedagogy, we hope to increase conversations and sharing between teachers and provide quality professional development opportunities for educators in and around Taranaki.

As a committee we meet as needed throughout the year, at different centres and venues around Taranaki.

At the moment we meet via zoom.
