Reggio Emilia e-learning opportunities

From the difficulties of the pandemic some exciting opportunities have arisen, such as the greatly expanded programme of e-learning from Reggio Children. Modes include webinars, digital toolboxes and resources, online study tours, and atelier experiences. These opportunities allow us in Aotearoa New Zealand to engage directly with Reggio educators without the cost of travel. See below for some of the current offerings…

Webinars on demand!

Reggio Children have established a collection of webinars that you can watch any time. These are convenient and excellent for team reflection because you can access them whenever you have team meetings! Some are free and some have a cost. You get access to the webinar for one month from time of purchase (including the free ones) so that gives you some flexibility to watch, re-watch and reflect with colleagues.

Note, ensure you are purchasing the webinar in English language, unless you can speak Italian!

ONLINE Ateliers live from the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre

With the offer of new ONLINE Ateliers, even at a distance you can enter inside the Malaguzzi Centre Ateliers, exchange ideas with other participants, look at each others' work, and converse with atelieristas, receiving suggestions, stimulus, and encouragement.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is currently a 12 hour time difference between Italy and New Zealand. Check back for the next release of Atelier with times that work here :)

Following pathways of investigation, formulating hypotheses, and constructing theories can all be done from your own home or school, albeit in a slightly different way.

While you're having fun you'll also find ideas, prompts, and starting points for working with children of different ages.

Limited places!

These Ateliers are for: teachers, educators, curious people and those interested in education

Number: there is a limit of 25 people per session

Language: English

Digital toolbox:

The myriad forms of research in children and adults

REANZ has purchased a number of these toolboxes to sell on to New Zealand educators, as one way we can support Reggio Emilia during this time of extreme financial hardship due to the pandemic. Please consider purchasing a toolbox as one way you can help ensure the Reggio Emilia educational project continues in the future.

$110 NZD, to purchase from REANZ simply email your name and contact details to reanztreasurer@gmail.com

Thanks to this course of 4 videos and 2 ebooks, teachers, educators, pedagogistas, atelieristas, parents, and people curious about children’s learning, can find out more about the theory of the 100 languages, with the words of  Loris Malaguzzi, a theoretical contribution by Vea Vecchi, and experiences in Reggio Emilia’s municipal infant-toddler centres and preschools.

“The hundred languages are a metaphor for the extraordinary potentials of children, their knowledge-building and creative processes, the myriad forms with which life is manifested and knowledge is constructed.

The hundred languages are understood as having the potential to be transformed and multiplied in the cooperation and interaction between the languages, among the children, and between children and adults.”

From Indications, Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres of the Muncipality of Reggio Emilia.

The Digital Toolbox is made up of:

4 Videos + 2 Ebooks

Once purchased, you own the digital resources for your ongoing use.
