Art in the Wild
A reflection by Elizabeth Battersby
Thrilling adventures in wild nature were regular experiences that I – and, no doubt, many others of my generation - took for granted as a child. My memories teem with imaginative escapades in our local woods with their pristine river, huge trees and abundant wildlife. After hearing Dr Andrew Lockett’s fascinating, and often moving presentation, Art in the Wild, I wonder how those childhood experiences might have been further provoked if teachers with his perceptiveness and exuberance had been there to guide us.
